| Tara Baker | CAO | City of Guelph | Tara is a passionate municipal leader who has been with the City of Guelph since 2011. She moved progressively through roles in the Finance department including holding the position of City Treasurer and General Manager of Finance from 2016 to 2024. Most recently, Tara was appointed into the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in September 2024, where she also serves in an oversight capacity of the city’s two municipal service corporations Guelph Municipal Holding Inc. and Guelph Junction Railway. Tara values teamwork and collaboration, fostering creative solutions that make action happen. Tara is a graduate of McMaster University prior to earning her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007. In 2023, she was the recipient of the MFOA’s Leadership Award, being recognized for her contributions to municipal financial leadership both locally and in the sector more broadly. | TaraBaker.jpg |
