Mark Jones | Manager of Technology Services | Township of Georgian Bay | Mark Jones is the Manager of Technology Services for the Township of Georgian Bay, a lower-tier municipality in Ontario. With over 15 years of experience in public sector IT, Mark leads initiatives that enhance municipal technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service delivery. He is currently serving as the in-house project manager for the Township’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system implementation—an organization-wide transformation aimed at streamlining operations and improving service outcomes.
Mark’s career spans both municipal government and education, where he has consistently driven innovation, improved staff training, and strengthened operational resilience. His expertise includes network administration, asset management, vendor coordination, and end-user support across a wide range of hardware and software platforms. He also plays a key role in emergency operations planning, supporting continuity and responsiveness across the organization.
