Sabine Matheson | Principal | StrategyCorp | Sabine Matheson is the founder of StrategyCorp’s Municipal Affairs Practice Group, which has served hundreds of municipalities across Canada on all sorts of strategic projects, relating to:
- Intergovernmental Affairs (Federal and Provincial) and finance
- Strategic Planning and Staff-Council Relations
- Operational, Organizational and Ward Boundary Reviews
- Special Policy Projects and Issue Management
In 2022-2023, Sabine led the StrategyCorp team that supported the City of Toronto in creating its Long-Term Financial Plan and political strategy for securing its landmark “New Deal” with Province of Ontario.
In 2016, she launched StrategyCorp’s influential Annual CAO Survey, which gives voice to Ontario’s leading Municipal Executives.
Previously, Sabine served as Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. In that capacity, she was deeply involved in the creation of Ontario’s municipal taxation and assessment regime, key reforms to Ontario’s Municipal Act and Planning Act, as well as the amalgamation of the City of Toronto.
