Bailey has served as the Partner leading KPMG’s Public Sector Accounting Advisory service line for Canada since 2015, and has more than 25 years of experience advising the public sector on complex accounting and reporting matters. During this time, Bailey has worked with more than 300 municipalities across Canada on the implementation of new accounting standards, including the Revenues standard, and the new PSAB reporting model.
Bailey is currently serving as a member of PSAB’s task force to develop accounting guidance on cloud computing arrangements. He recently served as the Chair of CPA Canada’s PSAB Task Force to develop an accounting standard on public private partnerships – PS3160. He is also the Leader of KPMG’s Global IPSAS Working Group, representing virtually every KPMG member firm around the world. He serves as a member of
the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s Sustainability Assurance Committee, which is establishing the sustainability assurance standards for Canada.
Bailey serves as a member of the Board of the Natural Asset Initiative and has been a part time lecturer at the University of Ottawa since 2005. Bailey is an active runner, poet and storyteller…..often all at the same time!
