| Usama Seraj | Manager Financial Services and Deputy Treasurer | Town of Pelham | Usama is a seasoned finance professional with over 14 years of experience in the public sector. Growing up in Hamilton, he attended the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University before obtaining his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation.
Through progressive roles in municipal finance, Usama has gained extensive exposure to a wide range of financial functions, developing strong analytical skills and an ability to solve problems through innovation and process improvements. He currently serves with the Town of Pelham as their Deputy Treasurer, where he leads a team of five within Corporate Services.
Usama particularly enjoys the municipal budget process, which requires strategic thinking and long-term planning to balance limited resources while maximizing value for taxpayers. Beyond his professional life, he enjoys basketball and is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new countries and cultures with his wife and their two young boys.
