Wes Anderson is the Senior Manager, Business Planning & Financial Services at the City of Mississauga, where he oversees the financial planning, reporting and transactional finance work for Canada’s 7th largest City, including the City’s business plan and budget, in-year forecasts, consolidated financial statements and other legislated reporting. Wes also oversees the City’s banking and cash management activities, investment portfolio management, accounting, and accounts payable teams. Wes has led a number of Finance transformation projects, including the implementation of sustainability reporting through the City’s Annual Report, finance technology changes, and process improvements, large and small.
Over his 20-year career with the City, Wes has held a variety of roles with the organization, including Manager of the City’s Lean continuous improvement program, Manager of Operational Planning and Analysis in the City’s Parks and Forestry Division, and various other finance and analyst roles in the City’s Community Services Department.
Wes is a Chartered Professional Accountant, has an honours degree in Economics from York University, is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. | WesAnderson.jpg |
