2017 Provincial Pre-Budget Submission
MFOA has submitted comments to the Ministry of Finance as part of the 2017 Pre-Budget Consultations. MFOA recommends that the Ministry consider the goals of municipal fiscal sustainability when creating the 2017 budget. This includes giving municipalities increased flexibility in generating own-source revenue, transparency in application-based funding, assistance for municipalities regarding asset management planning, and increased tax competitiveness and comparability in unincorporated territories.
