Budget:
The Budget template is supported by two documents - a PowerPoint presentation that follows the same pattern as the Bank reconciliation and Cash Flow guides and a word document that provides more details about the municipal context in Ontario. The Ontario context is to provide a general understanding of the differences between municipalities and to allow a new municipal finance officer to ask the right questions about which services should be included in their municipal budget.

Bank Reconciliation:
The Bank reconciliation guide details what is bank reconciliation; what are the benefits of performing bank reconciliations; what information is required and where it come from; and how to build, understand and use the Bank Reconciliation template.

About Your Speakers:

Tom Bradbury is a Policy Advisor at the MFOA and a consultant with CHUMS Financing Corporation. He spent 13 years with the City of Hamilton's finance department and was the last treasurer of the old City of Hamilton. In addition, Tom provides ongoing daily management support to the One Investment Program, an investment option for Ontario municipalities and other public sector entities.

Shira Babins, CA is the Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting at the MFOA.
