MFOA's Written Response to the National Infrastructure Assessment

In response to the Infrastructure Canada's National Infrastructure Assessment engagement paper, MFOA has submitted comments supporting the overarching principles while recommending increased stable funding sources for municipalities and indigenous communities to achieve the goals set out in the engagement paper. The National Infrastructure Assessment aims to determine how infrastructure investments can best achieve our core objectives by focusing on three priorities:

1. Assessing infrastructure needs and establishing a long-term vision;


2. Improving coordination among infrastructure owners and funders; and


3. Determining the best ways to fund and finance infrastructure.
