This one-day symposium will explore opportunities and requirements related to investing under the Municipal Act (both Legal List and Prudent Investment) and will examine how various investment types work in a diversified portfolio given today’s economic climate. We will address shorter- and longer-term investment opportunities.

The morning sessions will mainly focus on governance and Legal List options under the Municipal Act (Section 418). The afternoon will focus on governance and opportunities available via Prudent Investment (section 418.1 of the Act) in addition to general interest sessions.

There will be time for questions and discussion.
