Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Corporate Services, this newly created position is responsible for public relations, engagement and communications support for Municipal Finance Officers Association (MFOA) initiatives, programs and services. This position requires a strong focus on strategic planning and the ability to communicate effectively with finance staff in Ontario municipalities.

Responsibilities include the development of engagement and communication strategies, plans and material related to external communications; promoting and marketing MFOA programs and services; identifying opportunities and mitigating associated risks associated with brand and market placement.

Provides professional advice and information to the Executive Director, senior staff and stakeholders and manages sensitive matters on a broad range of issues.
